Solis Launches with 30% of Apartments Under $1 Million

The response has been bigger than we expected. Over the past few weeks, our first home buyer story has been picked up by some of the country’s leading property and news outlets, all drawn to the same headline: a Gold Coast developer taking real, practical steps to help first home buyers get into the market.

THE 30% STORY

Of the 91 apartments we’re delivering at Solis, 24 have been designed and priced specifically with first home buyers in mind, with several including an additional multipurpose room to make the most of every square metre. This decision places close to a third of the building below the $1 million mark at launch.

Our head of development, Michael Long, has been sharing the thinking behind the release with media, explaining that first home buyers have increasingly been priced out of large parts of the Gold Coast, and that Solis was designed to help address that gap. He’s also pointed to the building’s proximity to Harbour Town’s future light rail extension as a genuine drawcard for buyers wanting a connected, well-located first home.

One of the more memorable parts of the coverage came from first home buyer Holly Humphreys, who spoke candidly about the frustration of house hunting on the Gold Coast over the past year, missing out on standalone homes despite offering at the top of price guides, and eventually pivoting her search to apartments. Her take was simple: it’s encouraging to see a developer actively designing for buyers like her, rather than pricing them out altogether.

Solis has been designed by BDA Architecture, and will deliver a seven level building with a mix of one, two and three bedroom apartments, some up to 232sqm, with generous balconies and considered finishes throughout. Residents will also have access to the full suite of Harbour Shores lifestyle amenities, including our lagoon pool, social clubhouse, tennis court, gym, and yoga and sauna facilities.
